I haven't put up outdoor Christmas lights for the last couple of years. It's one of the things I let go of when I became a single mom.
I do use indoor lights fairly extensively. I put them in the living room windows, on the large mirror in the living room, all around the kitchen ceiling and around the doorway between the kitchen and the living room.
You can also see the Christmas Card rope hanging across the window in this photo. Pretty early in the season, so there weren't any cards on it yet.
When all the lights are on, it's nearly bright enough to read.
I don't have much to say about lights, except that they are an essential part of creating a magical Christmas atmosphere.
