I am hoping to meet other deaf moms who homeschool their children. I know its a long shot because I've been looking for years for other deaf moms.

I have four young hearing children from 2-9 years old. I use ASL and Cued Speech. I find I do have challenges homeschooling two hearing children, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world. Laughing

Hi!

I was thinking of the same thing and I just developed a new support group too. We can help one another Smile

I homeschool my 5 1/2 year old hearing daughter. We chose to homeschool because our family loves to travel all over the country, Florida too!!

I got involved with my local support groups and sometimes it gets frustrating when other moms chat while leaving me out. I hope to meet more moms, including you, Julie, to learn what they found that works for them.

Oh, by the way, we are located in SE Michigan.

I notice there are no recent posts, but am hoping there is a deaf mom out there who can help. I am seeking help regarding raising a hearing child in a deaf home. Do you know of any organizations that offers help? We are concerned with language development and communication skills. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.
