There are lots of different ways to make paper snowflakes. I know two different ways of folding the paper.

**Materials**

- White paper
- Scissors
- Bone folder or similar tool (I use the back of a comb)

**Making a Paper Snowflake: Method One**

- Fold the paper in half cross-wise.

- Fold the paper in half again, lengthwise. Turn the paper so one crease is to your left, and the other is on the bottom.

- Take the bottom right corner of the rectangle and fold it up and over to the left side, forming a triangle. .

- Cut off the excess strip of paper at the bottom of the triangle.

- Cut small triangles and strips into all the edges of the triangle. Be careful not to cut all the way through. Leave enough of the creases intact to hold the snowflake together.

- Unfold.

**Making a Paper Snowflake: Method Two**

- Fold one corner of the paper over to form a triangle.

- Take the peak of the triangle and fold it down to the opposite side. Line up the bottom edges of the triangle.

- Trim off the excess strip of paper at the bottom of the triangle.

- Trim the bottom of the triangle into a slightly rounded curve.

- Cut out triangles and small strips from all sides of the triangle.

- Unfold.
